The Macleod Workshop offers a remarkable range of high quality decorative arts. The workshop is the brainchild of the three Douglas sisters, who between them have the gathered expertise and collective experience of working in the arts for over 50 years. Their artwork has been exhibited widely: New York, The Saatchi Gallery and Paul Smith, Albermarle St. Their work has been purchased for numerous private collections.
The bespoke framing takes place in their Cotswolds studio, where contemporary artworks by established artists are framed in the professionally equipped space.
The daughters of a revered theatrical family, their grandmother Nan Munro was a close friend of Sir John Gielguld and Alec Guinness. Their mother Angela Galbraith was the first woman to say F***! on the British stage at The Traverse Theatre, Edinburgh. Their father Donald Douglas was in the original Poldark as the Captain Malcolm McNeil and had the best line in the Bridget Jones film 2001 , " I like a woman with an arse you can park a bike in and balance a pint of beer on ". Being surrounded by actors, artists and imaginative people has honed their aesthetic for the fabulous and beautiful. The sisters produce inspired, original contemporary prints and paintings, framed beautifully, ready for your curated wall.
